Eyelash extensions should not hurt when applied correctly. They are applied with professional tools by isolating one lash, and adhering one extension to your natural lash for classic lashes or fans for volume lashes.
Eyelash extensions can be applied to look anyway that you desire. Most lash artists will be able to give you your desired look or very similar. You can choose to have shorter natural lashes, or large dramatic lashes.
However, they will only last as long as your natural lash does. Like all hair on the human body, your eyelashes grow in stages. It is normal to lose 1-4 natural lashes per day which is why a fill is recommended every 2-3 weeks.
The price of lash extensions is determined by the particular artist and area. Quality of lash products that Wink Out Loud use tend to be more expensive.
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lash. Certified/ licensed lash artists will apply to only one natural lash, and will apply an extension that is the appropriate weight and length to ensure the integrity of your natural lash.
You most definitely can wear make-up with your eyelash extensions. Extension safe if makeup is oil free. Also, if lash extensions are cleaned properly.
Please arrive without any eye makeup. Right before the appointment you may be asked to cleanse your lashes with a mild cleanser to remove any leftover oils or makeup.
We recommend getting refills every 2 to 3 weeks. After 3 weeks a full set is required. Factors such as exposure to humidity, steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall quicker.
We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 48 hours of wear. After that 48-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. Keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is recommended to prolong the life of your extensions.
- Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours
- Avoid hot steam or sauna
- Use an oil-free eye makeup remover
- Use Wink Out loud Lash Bath or a mild antibacterial foaming cleanser to cleanse the lashes.
- Try not to run water directly on your lashes
- Do not rub, pick or pull your eyes
- Avoid using an eyelash curler
- Try to avoid exposure to heat, steam, sauna and friction
- Brush with a clean mascara wand daily.
